Description and tasting notes
One winemaker, two wine lovers, and a glass of wine on a sunny day by the sea. This is how the story of Mawj started.
MAWJ– the Arabic word for“wave” – is a tribute to the beauty of the Mediterranean and its old-world endemic grape varieties.
Born from the passion to unearth and showcase the expression of bord-de-mer Levantine grape varieties, Mawj aims at producing Mediterranean wines with a new flair and a unique style.
Mourvèdre: 3,683 bottles
One of the rare red grapes introduced by the Phoenicians five centuries BC, this cuvée reveals a wine with a silky texture rarely seen for this cépage. A great balance distinguished by notes of dark red fruits, rounded tannins and a good palate length.
