Chateau Ksara 2002
Description and tasting notes
Chateau Ksara, a Bordeaux blend with Bekaa valley power and concentration. Made with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, this wine has pronounced aromas of red fruit, especially cherry and plum, but also blackberry along with white pepper and eucalyptus with secondary notes of chocolate, coffee and toast with varying degrees of tertiary notes. In the mouth, the wine is dry with good acidity and is fun bodied. There are further notes of red and black fruit and green bellpepper. The finish is long.
It can be drunk now, or aged for two decades, retaining fruit, acidity and structure with tertiary flavors such as cedar, leather and cigar box.
