Description and tasting notes

Merwah is an ancient indigenous Lebanese Grape that used to be planted on old small terraces between olive & fig trees in koura. Unfortunately, most of the Merwah vineyards died & became rare. Ishtar Winery aims to restore & preserve this old Lebanese grape variety from extinction by producing wine that reflect the most honest expression of koura‘s great terroir. Made from 60-year-old vines, this wine is hand harvested at very low yields and vinified with minimal intervention. This complex white wine is a mix of yellow fruits with floral aromas & silky structure, pleasant to be consumed alone or with food.
