961 Beer officially began its operations in July 2006, amidst the devastation of war.
Entrepreneurs and founders of the Brand, Mazen Hajjar alongside beer-loving Friends and Partners, initially began experimenting and brewing batches of 20 L. kettles in their very own kitchen. Conflict and blockades were certainly not ideal conditions to embark on such a venture at the time, and while many were telling them they were mad to even consider it, this group of hearty and brave individuals persevered and finally introduced 961’s mind-blowing brews straight from home. The result of their hard work and dedication made way for a revolutionary and impressive set of craft beers that will forever evolve and transform the taste and preferences of beer lovers across the nation.
961 Beer really stands as the ‘BRAVE NEW BEER!’, a leader in its class.
In 2012, the 961 Lager won the Gold Medal for “Best Lager” at the Hong Kong International Beer Awards. Another popular success is 961’s invention of a unique infusion of a brew, in partnership with the leading Danish Brewmeister Anders Kissmeyer, spawning and giving rise to the Nation’s pride and select beer: the LPA ‘Lebanese Pale Ale’. Gaining wide popularity in time, 961 Beer now exports its Beers to 15+ nations worldwide, offering a distinct select of 6 masterfully brewed crafts, in addition to a satiating Pilsner, the LB (Lebanese Brew).
961 Beer is hopeful in the future, part of a bigger dream.
